On a Sunday Afternoon

w/ The Blue River Soul Band and Niya

Photo by Kristin Burns taken at The Ned Smith Center in Millersburg, PA I wrote this song because I want to be a kid FOREVER! While writing the lyrics I felt like a child exploring the outside world around my house. Within this song I found joy in turning the words upside down, and I dance around every single time I sing it. It is a sanctuary as I strive to be happy, healthy and perpetually seeking the light. - Karen

Going, Going, Gone

Going, Going, Gone is a mash up of country flair and love is in the air. I wrote this song about a girl who was tired of being alone. One day she recognized that her best friend might be the love of her life. The woman finds herself singing to him about the vibe she has been getting from him. She is living within her own love song. The first line of the song is---Is it you, is it me, all this electricity? - Karen

Full Circle

I wrote full Circle for another artist to sing but I came to realize that I actually wrote this song about my own journey of self discovery and forgiveness.

Movin' On

Movin' On is a song I wrote about getting away from it all. Leaving the city to travel to the country for a different and more relaxed pace is my kind of road trip. As I drive down the highway the busy life fades away to trees and farm critters. :) - Karen
